1116 RIC never asked about qualified vs non-qualified income

I have foreign taxes on mutual funds. As usual, TT Online never asked me to tell it the amount of the foreign derived income which was qualified dividends. In the past it would catch the error at the last second, shove a form in my face, and tell me what number to enter. But not this time. Anyone know how I can force it to ask me? For clarity, in the Foreign Tax Credit Computation Worksheet, this is Part 1 g 1 h. Thank you! -- Ethan

Here is what is happening to cause many users to miss the screen for entering  LT qualified dividends.

When entering the foreign tax credit interview, you will arrive at a screen with the following header:

“No Other Income or Expenses”

If YES is selected, then the following screens with the headers appear before exiting.

“Foreign Taxes Paid”, “Carryovers”, “Foreign Taxes”.

If NO  is selected, then the following screen headers appear:

“Completing Form 1116”, “Foreign Tax Credit Worksheet”, ”Choose Income Type”, “Country Summary”, then “Any Foreign Source Qualified Dividends or LT Cap. Gains.”
