1099-R worksheet line 26

I am a retired federal law enforcement officer. Box 5 of the OPM 1099-R lists $8.255.85

but the line 26 of the 1099-R worksheet lists 6.000  The tax form review states this amount should not be larger than 3,000  How do I correct the amount on the worksheet ?
