The current version of desktop TurboTax will not let me edit 1099-Rs that I have previously input. Selecting the "pencil" (edit button) takes me to the "start a new 1099-R " workflow.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Delete the Form 1099-R and re-enter manually.
If you are using the desktop editions, click on Forms. When in Forms mode find the 1099-R on the left side of the screen. Click to open. Click on the Delete button at the bottom of the page.
If you are using the online editions, click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Click on Tools. Click on Delete a form
Deleting and reentering does not acknowledge the issue. It is only a workaround.
@user17702235509 I know, it's weird. That's just how it works now. When you edit a 1099R it does look like it's starting a new one and takes you back to the beginning to the 4 boxes to pick what kind of 1099R. Click continue at the bottom. Then click on whose 1099R if married. Then you get to that 1099R to edit.
