I have exactly same problem. There is a glitch on Turbotax but easy to fix.
You need to go onto the bottom left it says “tool” and click delete a file. They are giving access all your records and can scroll down to the 1099 NEC line and delete it.
I hope this one helps who has same problem with me.
Thank you....
Yes, I am having the same issue - I am single with only one job.
The previous poster was correct. You can delete the actual form.

@Utku555
Same issue here!! It keeps prompting for spouse 1099, though I’m filing Single.
It has now screwed up my calculations on the amount of the return.
@Mvinson You will need to go to the REVIEW section and delete the 1099-NEC's from there to correct this issue. The details are in the Help Article below:
Integration of Turbotax and 1099-NEC has some serious issues and they need to work out the kinks. I had same issue and had the problem resolved by calling the support line. They can walk you through manually making adjustments on the actual tax forms (the forms that you can access by clicking on the "tax forms" on the left pane menu). It's not intuitive so tech support will have to walk you through it.
I have the same issue today. If you enter the NEC under MISC, it should work.
Glitch since last year. Never fixed.
When entering Form 1099-NEC in your Self-employed income & expenses section, it will associate to you correctly. If you entered it elsewhere, it should be deleted.
To do this in TurboTax, follow these steps:
First, delete Form 1099-NEC that is incorrectly linking to the non-existent spouse.
Next, return to your Schedule C by typing in schedule c in the search. Then, click the Jump to link.
Enter Form 1099-NEC under Common Income and continue. This should correct the issue. Run the Review again.

Does a 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC mean I'm self-employed?
@Mvinson - Were you able to find a way to get the system to correct the return calculation? I went ahead and filed my return but am now wondering if I possibly am getting a lesser amount because of the 1099 spouse form that popped up (and I subsequently deleted).
@KathrynG3 Do you know how to confirm that the calculated return is accurate, and wasn't decreased when the 1099 spouse form popped up? I see that other users' return amounts were decreased and I want to be sure that didn't happen to mine as well. (Currently on hold with Turbo Tax Customer Service hoping for an answer.)
Mine ended up being all messed up. So I deleted the entire return and started over.
I then deleted the 1099s before the final review.... and that ended up working.
This is my 9th year using TurboTax and this is the most number of glitches I’ve encountered.
Awesome you were able to find a way to file, but YIKES!
it doesn’t work I’m stuck in a never ending loop with your garbage software. I’ve been doing my taxes with you since your inception but each year it gets worse. I’m switching to another software program. This has been going on since the beginning of February and you still haven’t fixed it?! No excuse.
It says I don’t have enough privileges to access whatever that means. Wow this company is trash. I can’t even get the stupid article telling me how it’s my fault your software is whack. Thanks for nothing.
