We live in a CCRC where we pay a monthly fee. A portion of this fee covers our annual RE tax. Is this or any portion of it deductible?

You are able to deduct the portion that was specifically used for real estate taxes.

If part of that monthly fee covers medical care you can also use that as an itemized medical deduction subject to the 7.5% threshold.

Thank you.  We have a Type C contract and live in independent housing with no medical costs associated with the CCRC so this may not apply at this time.

You should ask the financial officer at the CCRC, they should be able to provide you the percentage of your monthly fee that is deductible.
