Yes, those are considered job expenses.  Unreimbursed job expenses are not deductible, through 2025, for federal purposes.  They may be deductible for state state, depending on where you live.

I am confused-----groomer of who---or what ---    performing artist?      Are YOU the performing artist?   Or a W-2 employee who "grooms" someone --(or some"thing" like  a show dog, etc.??)
