Have you entered all your income?   If you are under 25 or over 65 you need a qualifying child to get the EIC.

There are two qualifying children on the return. Last year's return showed an EIC with the same information that is being provided this year. The income is almost exactly the same as last year. On the forms menu that compares last year with this year, there is an EIC for last  year but not this year. I have gone back and edited and done every other trick I can think of but no success. As a self-employed child care provider, I receive a 1099-MISC. When inputting that info, the income is defaulted to Business Income.

You mention that you are a self-employed child care provider... does your Schedule C show a loss?  Assuming no other earned income is reported on your return, if your business expenses exceeded your business income and you show a loss on your Schedule C, you would not be eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit.
