Where were you stationed? I was stationed in Japan but am a NY resident. Do i put Foreign or US Possesion?

Where were you stationed? I was stationed in Japan but am a NY resident. Do i put Foreign or US Possesion?

If you are active military you enter New York as your state of residence and you indicate that you did not live in any other states. And if your military pay was your only income you would indicate that you did not work in any other states.
