I read online that for a mileage log, the IRS requires things like the total distance, purpose, starting location, end location, and date of trip. I'm wondering how specific does the start and end location need to be? Do I need to write down actual addresses? Or is writing down the city name sufficient?
I've been using the MileIQ app to track my miles but when I get a report from them, it only shows the city names for the starting and end locations. Would this be specific enough for the IRS? Or would they want something else?

Answered in your earlier post of the same question. Please keep all related discussion in one thread, and do not post multiple questions about the same issue.
Excuse me, I would like to know the answer to this and I don't know where this person had asked this question somewhere else. Instead of leaving such a snarky comment as you have, just because he may have asked this same question somewhere else, you might want to realize that not everyone knows where that response is located. I'm asking the same question now. Please somebody that is a professional respond. Thank you.
