I work in transportation. I did not list my meal per diem or meals because business expenses are now irrelevant. Why is Turbo tax is asking me to fill out form 2106.

We're asking because there may be a benefit to you for your expenses on your state return. If you enter your expenses, we'll figure out if they're deductible.
