Are my Union dues refundable? If so why am I not seeing it in my return?

I already listed the amount and everything and I dont see the  refund numbers change..

Union dues are an itemized deduction.  Furthermore, only the amount of union dues and other similar expenses in excess of 2% of your AGI can be included as an itemized deduction. For you to get a tax break, the total of all your itemized deductions must be more than the standard deduction.
