Unemployment error in 2020

Last year TT errored taxing my unemployment, which generated an Oregon refund of $635., $234. of this was my overpayment. Now the Fed. questionnaire asks if I got a state refund. So which $ do I enter, the original amount they owed me or the amount they refunded which included my overpayment?

If you did not get a 1099-G reporting the refund amount, enter the amount that you received, $635. And as @DMarkM1 said, if you used the standard refund last year, the refund amount will not have any effect on your tax return.

You should have received a form 1099G showing your state refund amount and you would enter the amount shown on that form.  If you did not get a 1099G, then to answer the state refund question you would enter the actual refund amount you received.

Remember if you used the standard deduction last year none of the refund will be taxable.

IDMarkM1, I did get a 1099G, it just shows how much taxes were withheld by the state and fed. gov. for the unemployment received in 2021.  Box 2 (State and local income tax refunds) is blank. The TT portion of the questionaire I'm referring to is under Personal Income "Tell us about your refund" in 2021, it's not referring to the unemployment (that's just what snowballed into 10 entry errors on my filing last year). It caused my total refund to be 0! I owed $234., instead of being refunded $401., so when the state caught the error, they refunded me $635. So would your answer still the same?
