I am a 19 year old student and made under $4000 in 2022, but TurboTax is saying I still owe tax.
My income is $2828 from my W-2, $768 from 1099-G, and $38 from $1099-INT. ($3634 total).
TurboTax is saying I have a standard deduction of $3178, so my taxable income is $456 (so I owe $46, because no federal tax was withheld).
Isn't the standard deduction for single filers $12,550?

Dependents – If you can be claimed as a dependent by another taxpayer, your standard deduction for 2021 is limited to the greater of: (1) $1,100, or (2) your earned income plus $350 (but the total can't be more than the basic standard deduction for your filing status).

Thank you! I was so confused where the $3178 figure was coming from.
