Does Turbo Tax refund additional tax payments resulting from state audits on prior year filing? If so, how do I recover money?

TurboTax does not receive or issue tax refunds.  Please explain in detail exactly what you referring to concerning additional state tax payments.

As a result of an audit of our 2015 VA tax return, a claimed deduction was disallowed by the State Department of Taxation in 2018.  The bill was $1,366.37.  Approximately $200 of the bill was interest charged by the state for late payment.  I asked for a wavier for the interest charge because I thought it was unfair to charge interest on this audit performed 3 years after filing.  Denied.  At any rate, does Turbo  Tax reimburse for such audits cost and if so, how do I request reimbursement for the$1.3K?

The TurboTax 100% Accuracy Calculation Guarantee covers any calculation errors caused by the TurboTax software.  The guarantee will cover any penalties and interest paid but not any taxes that would have been owed.  The guarantee does not cover user entry errors or user errors of omission.
