That is a question that comes up for any property owner just in case your property is located in Lake County, Indiana.

It is not an indication that you personally have a property in Lake County.  Since you do not, simply choose No. 

If you did have a property in Lake County and you answered the question with Yes, then you could enter the information needed for the Lake County residential income tax credit.

@Lake County residential income t No one has access to your account or your tax return.   NO one else can remove or change anything on your tax return for you.   You have to do that for yourself.

@Lake County residential income t And.....if you carefully read the reply that was already in this thread regarding the Lake County property---you answered a question incorrectly yourself and should have said NO to the question about owning property in Lake County.   Go back to the screen where you made that mistake and change the way you answered the question.

Everybody filing an IN return must answer the Lake County question. Turbo Tax asks IF you have a Lake County property each year. If you do not have property in Lake County, answer no. Extra rules apply to Lake County owners.  Learn more about Lake County - IN.gov
