Fidelity actually completes Form 8283 and provides it to their customers with all their other tax documents. I have printed out their form. It does not include the date acquired or the cost basis. I thought this was one of the advantages of transferring stocks to a Charitable account, because you do not need to provide that information for tax purposes. Is there a way to bypass this requirement through Turbo Tax and print off the final tax documents substituting the Fidelity provided Form 8283 for the Turbo Tax form and then I would just mail the completed tax documents?
