We installed a new energy efficient HVAC system in 2018 in our main home for $12,400, but it’s not reflecting any savings in the Home Energy Credit section.

The Nonbusiness Energy Property Credit credit which includes energy efficient HVAC systems expired at the end of 2017.  As of this date Congress has not re-instated this credit for tax year 2018.
