I'm a single mom of 2 and was unable to work for 2019 can I still get a return even if i didnt make any money

    You mean a refund?  You need to have income to file a tax return.  You need to have tax withholding taken out to get a refund from it.  Do you live with someone?  They may be able to claim you and the kids as dependents.

    To be eligible for any type of tax credit, such as the Child Tax Credit or the Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) you must have earned income.

    If you did not receive income of Any kind in 2019 there is no reason to file a 2019 tax return.

    if you didn't make any money how were you  supported?

    Did  someone else support you and your family?  It sounds like there could be someone who could claim you and your children as dependents, but we need more information.

     

    But as already stated since you did not work or earn income yourself, you are not eligible for any sort of tax refund.  The child-related credits are based on earning income from working, not just from having children.
