When I check at the IRS it shows my refund amount to be about $3000 MORE than what I've received so far.
I filed my taxes through TurboTax, I received a notification that IRS accepted my refund, but when I check the status of my refund it is as if I never filed. I checked my account and noticed that 32.00 was deposited into my account. I'm so confused because IRS shows no sign of me filing but I'm missing over 3000 wheres the rest of my refund. I will be calling IRS to do a trace of my refund. I will never use TurboTax ever again.
To Who it may concern
We didn't file with TPG products LLC we filed with Free Tax USA so why did we get the TPG???????

You will have to ask Free Tax USA.
They may have a similar option for having their fees paid from the federal tax refund and use SBTPG for their third party processor who received the federal tax refund from the IRS and then deducts the fees and the service charge from the federal tax refund.
WHAT fees and charges?????
The stimulus checks were NOT taxable!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vanessa,
We are also experiencing the same issue. Our original refund based on turbo tax was $6,962. After the refund was accepted the IRS took out what it needed to and said our refund will be $3,848. We then get a deposit for $1,622.59 from a TPG Products, which after doing some research is in fact Turbo Tax. So, where is my remaining $2,225.41?
because you had the charge for using that site out of your refund. That's what I did also I didn't use turbo tax but had the money taken out of my refund.
fill out a 1040x form you can get it from IRS there is a printable form and a fill online form it says it is free with IRS I printed out mine and still working on it. I find it a little confusing but there is also instruction you can go by. I printed two copies. when I get it filled out I'll fill it out online. this may help I don't know.
Good question that turbo tax and IRS should be able to answer or the tax site you used I have just gotten what I call the run-around answers.
Sorry for not trying to help it wasn't my fault I couldn't get into the site for a while. I didn't mean to get everyone upset with my post I was just trying to get some answers myself and haven't received any that made much sense there was a few of you that gave me a straight answer as you see it that made more sense than what I found through IRS or anywhere else even the company I went through, and I want to thank you all for your replies. I have read every one I received and wish I had the answers to help each and every one of you. The company I went through told me they would have to charge another fee for helping me with the 1040x form.
The way I see it some of that is the fee for using the online system but it shouldn't be that much. I was just wondering if Turbo tax isn't charging for the use of TPG Products SBTLG LLC. we should check into that also
Accepted means the IRS has received your return (tax filing) for processing. It does not mean that they have Approved the amount of the refund.
The IRS does not notify TT or TPG when it adjusts your refund, btu it may be related to the Stimulus or Advanced Child Tax Credit. You will be getting a letter in the mail from the IRS in 2-4 weeks, so wait for it.
thank you so much but it has been 2 weeks already. this is what I have found in my tax return I don't know where the tax slayer got this number but I only put down 1 dependent great-grandchild and they have me marked down for 6 dependents. I didn't have anyone else on that list just one child. I agreed for tax slayer to take a fee of 120. for helping me with my return after IRS adjusted my refund there was exactly 120.90 taken for fees I would like to know who got the 90 cents. I'm thinking it is TPG fee for taking the 120 fee out of my refund that is not what I'm talking about There was no mention of another free of any kind for having the site's fee taken out and it looks like to me they took out 90 cents. IRS adjusted my refund by 4200 dollars. was my big thing now that I found this mistake wonder how many more is in there
Most of the incomeefunds were adjusted by IRS, to repaying for stimulus money. Even though, Credit karma ordered 100 dollars if tax were deposited in credit karma, I did no see that money in my deposit. I actually was short after IRS adjustments and preparation fees from turbotax.
