I had already received a letter from the IRS explaining my offset and my refund amount.
I agreed to pay TurboTax $219 in fees. My refund, according to the IRS should have been over $5,000 and was to be deposited by April 4th. The refund from TPG that hit my account was $2200. WHERE IS THE OTHER $3000 of my refund ????
after researching this issue, I have learned that everyone who uses TurboTax signed an agreement stating we cannot file a class action lawsuit, but have to instead seek arbitration for this obvious theft of our $.
currently studying to find out if we can file an actual police report and have this investigated for fraud and theft .
That’s the thing…. Where does it state we entered into a contact with TPG, or that they are legally allowed to charge us fees?
I signed an agreement with TurboTax/Intuit and my agreed upon fees were $219.
my refund should have been over $5000, according to the IRS , yet TPG only deposited $2,200.
where the hell is the rest of my refund?
This is incorrect. I have the letter directly from the IRS showing what my refund should be. What TPG deposited is over $3000 less than the IRS letter I received.
this is theft plain and simple. I agreed to $219 in fees when I agreed to use TurboTax.
going to see if I can press charges for theft with police since we are not able to go class action.
According to the agreement we signed when signing up for TurboTax, we cannot file a class action suit. Any dispute has to go through their arbitration process.
I am personally going to see about filing charges of theft against them… that makes it criminal and gets us in front of a judge and jury if accepted by prosecutors.
You can’t sue them due to the agreement you signed (except in small claims court, and after their arbitration fails). I recommend everyone contact the prosecutor’s office in their county of business and file criminal charges of theft and racketeering. Let’s make this a criminal case since they forced us to sign an agreement disallowing us from civil court ….
I filed 7202 form. My refund came back $2125 short! Was I charged for filing 7202 or what??
I just got off the phone with the irs, I was able to get through by using phone prompts that I want to set up a payment.
I just got off the phone with the IRS. They told me TPG had their bank account numbers take $1368 of my refund, then my bank account numbers took 4138.11. The irs issued me $5506.11. The irs stated this is how I had my refund set up, which is insane. Id never in my life set up my account for Turbo tax to steal that much. They said I owed no debt I already paid it off.
I talk to turbo tax they said call IRS but that is crazy the ones that took the direct deposit money was turbo as they are same company . I lost another 105.00 of mine that is stealing at its highest . Or fraudulent. Should have a law suit coming.
I will never.. never used the Turbo tax again.
Line 30 shows 1400.
So why didnt the software account for this?
My refund is 1400 less than turbo tax said I would get back
Line 30 is only if you didn't get the full amount or qualify for more. The IRS records show they sent you the 1400 last year. But you tried to claim it again.
Double check your bank accounts and check your IRS account (both accounts if married) to see how much the IRS sent you.

If you didn't get the 3rd Stimulus check but the IRS shows they sent it to you then request a trace for a missing third Stimulus payment

So how much did you finally get? Please keep us informed. Thank you!
Same has happened to me! Can’t get any answers on where my money is!
So you did finally get your full refund?
NOPE. And I never will. And i will NEVER use Turbotax again. I am soooo disappointed in them, after using them for ten years and this is how their loyal customers get treated.... Shame on all of them
