I claimed my son on my 2019 taxes as he was unemployed and a fulltime college student. I did receive a partial stimulus payment in the first round and nothing in the second. He is employed and is filing his tax return does he put how much I received for the first stimulus payment or does he report that he did not receive one. As for the second one I do understand that this amount would be equal to a credit as neither myself or him received it.

Your son would not report how much stimulus you received. If he was not a dependent in 2020, he will file his own tax return and will receive the Recovery Rebate Credit. If eligible, you will receive the second stimulus as a Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2020 tax return.
You cannot get stimulus money for a child older than 16, And your son was a dependent so he does not get a stimulus check---stimulus checks are not sent to dependents,
You can get a stimulus check for yourself only----if you did not receive the first one or the second one, Your son is not eligible for either stimulus check.
