Why does the tax program say that my wife stopped being part of the family HDP in December 2020? Does that impact the 2021 year?

By "family HDP", do you mean "HDHP" (High Deductible Health Plan)?

I am seeing this same glitch for 2022.  Clearly they didn't fix it

If your wife was included in your family plan, then you would answer None to the question asking what type of HDHP plan did your wife have.  You should see this question on the screen prior to the one where it states that there was a break in coverage.

It doesn't specifically ask, but it refers to any HDHP coverage that was in your wife's name.
