Your income, filing status, and age generally determine whether you must file an income tax return.

just to update this....the IRS would not allow us to use Turbo Tax to e File. we had to send the return snail mail
FYI ... if you excluded all of your foreign income then you could not efile so to combat this IRS restriction next year simply enter $1 of bank interest.
