For tax year 2022 that is correct. Tesla and GM electric vehicles are not eligible for the EV credit on a 2022 tax return.
What about for 2023?
Also google searches show otherwise.
@jrico1 Go to this IRS website and open the sections for General Motors and for Tesla, you will see there is no credit available as of 04/01/2020 - https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/manufacturers-and-models-for-new-qualified-clean-vehicles-pur...

Do 2022 Teslas qualify for federal tax credit?Tesla Model 3 (various model years): All 2023 variants of the Model 3 are eligible for the full $7,500 credit, and all but one variant from 2022 qualify. 2022-2023 Tesla Model Y: All Model Y variants (All-Wheel Drive, Long Range All-Wheel Drive, and Performance) are eligible for the full $7,500 credit... so what is the correct answer?
Did you read that article? Even though Google pulled up that article for it, that article is discussing the 2023 credit.
