If I purchased a home in 2019 but we used the standard deduction, can I claim the points in 2020 if I am now itemizing?

I purchased the home in 2019 in october. I did not claim the points and the loan was purchased by a new lender in late 2019. We did not itemize in 2020 but are doing so this year. Can I claim the points from 2019 that I never claimed?

No. You cannot deduct points paid in 2019 on your 2020 tax return.
