The IRS can offset your stimulus check for past due child support.
So I have understood since the stimulus rolled out that because I owe past due support that I personally wouldn’t be getting my check. But I’m confused why not only my stimulus but also my husbands stimulus also was offset and sent to my ex for my child support past due. How can they take my
current husbands total stimulus? Can this be corrected? We needed my husbands stimulus to pay rent which now we can’t do and we have. A brand new baby. Please help
