Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

I'm just under the requirements to claim EIC, however I only get $11.00 and I don't really want $11.00 to hold up my return for weeks. Is there a way to waive EIC?

Sorry.  If you get EIC it is added to your refund automatically,  That means you are subject to the PATH act.  Refunds that include EIC or the additional child tax credit cannot be issued until mid-February, so at best you will get your refund end of February /early March.

UGH, you should be able to choose whether or not you want to take the credit :( Ridiculous...Thanks for your response!

Well, you can always check a box that disqualifies you for the EIC, but then your tax return would not be a true and accurate tax return and might itself delay the tax return .   In addition, if you qualify for EIC and fail to take it (usually on a paper return) the IRS will automatically add it for you.  That is why there is not op-out option - the IRS dose not have one and TurboTax must follow the IRS guidelines.
