They will continue to do so until entire debt is paid off. And of course once that is done, you will be receiving your full refunds, since there will be no past due debt.

i have a 5 year old son. I was 16 his mom was 19 she left me got with another guy at the time I moved up state to my moms to get a better job career not even knowing he was mine. She then filed for dna almost 3 years later so I’m paying retro arrears to the state I’m on a payment plan paying it every paycheck. No longer have regular child support due to her husband that has raised my son since born has now adopted him. So will my taxes still be taken for the retro arrears amount?
@Airkilla19 No one at TurboTax can tell you if your refund will be offset for child support. TurboTax never knows if there is an order for your refund to be seized for child support or back taxes. You can check that to see:
NOTE: You can contact the IRS Treasury Offset Program Call Center at 1-800-304-3107 to ask if they have an offset for you on file. TurboTax would not have that information.
