Please follow the steps provided by RobertG here in this Community thread to assist with importing ItsDeductible.
The information posted by this guy is outdated.
The instructions are from 2020.
This year -- 2022 tax -- there is no way to do the import.
TurboTax lied to all of us, when they promised a reinstatement of ItsDeductible.
What they DIDN'T add was that, although you can enter items for that app to value, you cannot import the data like in previous years.
I have called twice about this. The first person got nasty with my question and the second person hung up on me.
TurboTax should issue an apology and a refund to "valued" customers.
Hey "Michelle O",
Did you check the date on "Robert G's" advice on that Community Thread?
It's wrong.
It's outdated.
It doesn't work anymore.
To enter charitable donations -
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credits
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Charitable Donations
On Import from ItsDeductible Online, click on the start or update button
Or enter charitable donation in the Search box located in the upper right of the online program screen. Click on Jump to charitable donation
Ok, once again, that answer worked last year and many years before, but for 2022 taxes this answer is incorrect.
I even confirmed that it is incorrect with THREE DIFFERENT TURBOTAX EXPERTS. All of them confirmed that this procedure is no longer promoted by TurboTax.
The only way to use ItsDeductible is to enter “Items”, “Money”, etc. one at a time and follow the link to ItsDeductible. You cannot use ItsDeductible first and import your entries.

So when you select Import from ItsDeductible Online in the section for Charitable Donations you do not see the following screens in the TurboTax online program -
My apologies…sort of.
There are two places on TurboTax where Charitable Deductions appears. One allows the import and one does not. I had multiple experts in Chat and live phone calls who were unable to find the available import process. Two have me incorrect information.
I found the correct process when I did a Fed Return review.
If you can't see the expand option, scroll down. Is there a button to "Show All Tax Breaks"?
Click it. That gives list different sections. Scroll down to THAT Charitable Donations section and you can see the Import from It'sDeductible.
Sorry I can't get screen shots into this reply.
This is correct! The key is to scroll down when you get to the “My tax breaks” table. There is a “More tax breaks” button below the table. Once you press the more breaks button search for charitable donations and there you will see the start button and from there the import question comes up.
Scrolling down past my tax breaks is the key.
