I am working ahead on my taxes to maximize my deductions. I am 57 years old and had an HSA all year for my wife and me. The 2019 max contribution to an HSA for a couple is $7000 with an additional $1000 for people over the age of 55, totaling $8000. However, TurboTax is only letting me do $7900. When I try $8000 it warns me that I will be taxed 6% on the addtional $100. Am I doing something wrong, or did TurboTax forget to update the amount from $6900 to $7000 for a couple?

Much of the 2019 program has not been updated yet from the 2018 info and will not be until many updates have been applied thru mid to late January ... patience is always needed in the early beta versions of the program.
I see that the "error" has already been addressed in my latest update on December 12th. It now correctly makes the maximum family annual contribution to an HSA $7000 (with an additional $1000 for those over 55).
