Yes!
@Bsch4477 We are having a similar issue. Our daughter was born in September and when entering the information under the "you and your family" section it does not list her when prompted to choose a dependent in the "child and dependent care credit section." We also selected that she lived with us the entire year and it still shows our credit as $0. Any thing we should be doing differently?
You refer to dependent care credit section which is a different section from claiming a child as a dependent.
@Bsch4477 we entered all of her information and claimed her in the personal info section but when trying to claim her for the $2,000 dependent return it doesn't give us the option.
Does the child have a social security number?
Well, I think at this point I would delete the child and re-enter them. The symptom of not popping up in the list of eligible dependents for the childcare credit, of not getting the $2000 credit, and not getting the recovery rebate, would be associated with either failing to enter a valid SSN or entering the wrong birth date that makes the child too old to qualify. So I would delete the child and start over, and see if that clears it up.
(One thing to watch out for is that Turbotax will sometimes auto-complete dates in a funny way. You might have got the year wrong. Type the date in full, "08/19/2020".)
