Child tax or Other dependents

I filed with Turbo Tax. I had a baby in December and instead of the Child Tax Credit, Turbo Tax put me in the other dependents category. Now I don’t get the early credit, which we need for care. Why wasn’t I allowed to claim the child tax credit and instead had to do the credit for other dependents?

You answered a question wrong.  You needed to select they lived with you THE WHOLE YEAR when entering a newborn.  You can amend your return.

I’m having the exact same issue and trying to amend online but can’t get to the part of amending the months baby lived with me. Any tips? Thank you so much in advance
