Can you explain to me why I got ctc for my 11 y/o & not my 17 y/o?

The Child Tax Credit is only for those children under the age of 17 on your 2020 tax return. For tax year 2021 the CTC is for children under the age of 18.
Yes, but I filed for 2020 & 2021 tax season and both kids under 17 & 18.

You posted that you have a 17 year old. On a 2020 tax return a 17 year old is not eligible for the CTC. On the 2021 tax return to be filed next year a 18 year old is not eligible for the CTC.
If you are referring the Advance Child Tax Credit that is being issued by the IRS during 2021, the child who is 18 in 2021 is not eligible for the advance CTC.
If both children are under the age of 17 in 2020 then they would be eligible for the CTC on the 2020 tax return and the Advance CTC being issued by the IRS in 2021. If you did not receive the advance CTC in 2021 then you can apply for the CTC on the 2021 tax return that you file next year in 2022.
