My W2 shows contribution to HSA is $3900 which is $50 over limit of $3850 but why Turbox Tax said I have excess contribution of the whole $3900?

TurboTax treats the entire code-W amount as an excess contribution until you complete the HSA section of TurboTax to establish your eligibility.
