Medical expenses

TurboTax won't let me enter any costs into my medical deductions. Anyone else had the same problem?

Only medical expenses in excess of 7.5% of AGI are deductible. If you indicate that you did not have medical expenses that exceed the amount of AGI calculated, you will not be able to enter the expenses.

To enter these expenses, follow these steps:

• From the Federal menu, click on Deductions & Credits
• Expand the menu for Medical
• Click Start/Revisit next to Medical Expenses
• Enter the information on the screens that follow

I know all about the %AGR... I have virtually no AGR and 10.6k expenses. My point was I was unable to input back up data to each area of questions. I would click on the input data square and no "drop down" would appear to input individual data for addition

If you want to record detail for the numerical fields, you can do this with something as simple as a piece of paper aggregating your medical expenses per category. Then just keep it with your medical bills in a safe place. Or you can use a spreadsheet.

thank you both.... 

mute point now as all taxes filed. In the end,  it appeared it was a computer/software dislike... after shutting down twice the TT  software worked as it should. I object to paying for software tat doesn't work fully
