I filed my 2018 tax returns (married filling jointly) with ITIN for spouse. My wife submitted a ITIN Rescind request to IRS last year after getting SSN and IRS had completed that request confirming on the same. I filed my 2019 Tax returns (married filing jointly) with SSN of both me and my wife on Apr 15th. Federal returns was processed and I got the refund on Apr 23rd. But I still see 'Payment Status Not Available' on Get My Payment for the Stimulus.
2018 -> H1B(SSN) + H4(ITIN) + Kid (SSN)
2019 -> H1B(SSN) + H4(SSN) + Kid (SSN)
Am I eligible for the stimulus considering I filed my 2019 tax returns using SSN?
Or
Is it possible that I'll be considered not eligible since I have filed 2018 tax returns using ITIN for my spouse (even if ITIN was rescinded last year)
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You will need to wait and see since you just filed the 2019 return and the IRS is not processing much right now as they focus on the stimulus checks ... if they send out the wrong amount then there may be a way to correct it this year if not on the 2020 return there will be a reconciliation of the credit and you will get it then.
