When I enter my IRA contribution on the federal return, it does not transfer over to the Iowa return? Is this a glitch in the program?

Do you mean the IRA contribution that appears on line 19 of Schedule 1 (1040) on the federal return?

This appears on line 16 on the 2020 IA 1040 Iowa Individual Income Tax Return.

Are you saying that there is an amount on line 19 of your federal return and not on line 16 of your state return?

Are you filing a resident, part-year resident, or nonresident return?
