Increased Child credit

Congress has not voted to increase the child tax credit and we do not know when or if they will.   IF it happens there will some information and guidelines for how and when it will be implemented.  Until then, take my grandma's advice:  "Don't count your chickens before they hatch."

Increased Child credit

The law on the increased child tax credit is not yet enacted. If and when this becomes law, the IRS will issue directives and guidelines. And TurboTax will always be here to guide and support their customers.

My tax was accepted 12 and 14. I file for my son hasn't been approved yet?

It can take up to 21 days for the tax return that has been received, accepted, to be approved.

If you mean that you are claiming your son on your tax return, depending on how old he is, you could qualify for up to $2,000 for the child tax credit. The refundable portion of this credit may delay your refund.
