Yeah, that seems to be a problem for "prior" year PDF files recently.  A number of other users have reported a similar issue.  The prior year PDFs used to be every scrap.

I don't know if it is a conscious change in TTX policy on what they provide in the prior year PDF area...or a bug in what they provide now.  Call TTX and ask. Make sure you tell them that you are looking for the 2023 tax return, beaus access to the current 2024 PDF is different:

Beyond that, if they don't indicate that the Full 2023 PDF can be done anymore?  If  it really is critical, about the only way you could see it would be to BUY, download and install the 2023 desktop software on a full MAC or Windows computer......install the state you need, then download the .tax2023 datafile form your online account and open it in that Desktop software.

For every year from here on...make sure you download two PDF files either just before filing, or just after your file has been accepted, and before October...one just the normal filing-only file, and a second one for your records with ALL forms and worksheets.   That selection can be made in the Print Center, but just for the current tax year.  Back them up offline on a flash drive to put in a safe place (because computers die, burn up, crash, are stolen..etc..etc)

The only way in the "Online" software...is to go to the left-side menu, and under the "Tools" menu is the "Print Center"....go in there and save a PDF with all the forms and worksheets, and look at that PDF file for the various forms and worksheets.

BUT, with the Online software...you have to pay for the "Online" software you are using before it will let you save/print.......and if you haven't started a state set forms yet,, it might not have you pay the state charge yet (it's separate)......but if you don't pay for state with the purchase, you will have to pay separately for it later.

Hi SteamTrain,

Thank you for your response!  I have gone through the PDF of the various forms that it let me download.  But none of the worksheets are included.  I can see all the forms such as 1040, Schedule 1, 2, 3, Schedule B, C, D,  Form 8995, 8960, etc. but no worksheets.  It almost look like TurboTax purposely left the worksheets out from the downloadable documents.

There are like 7 different ways to calculate the tax.
It depends what kind of income you have. Even though the full amount shows up in the total income on the 1040 line 7, if you have capital gains or qualified dividends the tax is not taken from the tax table but is calculated separately from Schedule D. The tax will be calculated on the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet. It does not get filed with your return. In the online version you need to save your return as a pdf file and include all the worksheets to see it.

Thanks again for your quick response!  Is there a way to retrieve and download the worksheets from previous tax years?  I can't seem to figure out how to do that.  When I went through the previous returns, it only lets me download the same forms PDF that I downloaded at the time of filing.

That's strange.  When you download the pdf for previous years it should be the complete file with all the worksheets.  Try again.

Thanks for the info!  That's actually exactly what I followed and the PDF I downloaded is still the same as the one I downloaded before, which is missing the worksheets.

Does any one else have this issue or it is just me missing something?

Thank you very much for the suggestions and advices!  I will give them a call.  Hopefully I don't have to buy the desktop version as it is not critical but I feel that it is an important piece of the return and my records aren't complete.  And from this year on, I will make sure to download TWO sets of files!
