In the deductions and credits section there is a spot for sales tax. When I add my state it does not give me the option for AE (Overseas Military) so I am unsure of what to do?

As active military your state of residence is your Home of Record or State of Legal Residence.  This is what you should have entered in the My Info section for your personal information.

In the Sales Tax section the program should be using your state of residence for the sales taxes.
