I have an old HSA account and can't find where to enter its information

I have my current HSA with my current employer, but I still have an old one with a few thousand dollars in it. I used it for a couple of small things in 2016. But I can't see where to enter any of that in turbotax - it only acknowledges the most recent one.

I have an old HSA account and can't find where to enter its information

If you used your old HSA account funds for expenses, then you should receive a Form 1099-SA form. To enter the form:

  • In your open return, select My Account
  • Select Tools
  • Select Topic Search
  • Type '1099-SA' in the box, then select GO

You should land on the HSA summary page. Select edit and continue until reaching the page, Here's what we have so far.

Select the '+Add Another 1099-SA' to add the old HSA to the list. See attached example.
