If you had any mortgage interest or property tax paid for that short time you could deduct that on Sch A if you itemize.

You should get a 1098 from the lender for any interest you paid which you probably didn’t have any for 2017.  Unless it’s listed on your closing statement.  Interest and any property tax you paid.

I have my Closing Disclosure document that does list Points, Pre-paid interest and 7 mos worth of Property taxes. I assume I can prorate the Property taxes like the Pre-paid interest? Thanks again
