If I am self employed with two separate jobs using the same vehicle, can I deduct the itemized vehicle expenses for both jobs or only one, using mileage for the other?

You can deduct mileage for both jobs.

Enter the same vehicle twice – one for each business – and separate the expenses for each business.

The business miles will be different, but the total miles should be the same in both businesses before it is the same vehicle.

For example, if you drove 12,000 total business miles and 24,000 total miles, Business 1 might be 4,000 business and 24,000 total miles and Business 2 might be 8,000 (12,000-4,000) business miles and 24,000 total miles.

Separate items like parking and tolls.
