I need to file a Foreign Earned Income Exclusion Form 2555-EZ how or where do I get that form?
Hello!
From TurboTax Double online edition, to enter foreign earned income/exclusion, here are the steps:
- After sign into your account, select Pick up where you left off
- At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in foreign income and Enter
- Select Jump to foreign income, follow prompts to upgrade
- Next screen, Did You Make Any Money Outside the United States? answer Yes
- On-screen, What Form(s) Was Foreign Income Reported On ? make your selection and continue to enter information
-After the exclusion, if you paid taxes to both foreign and US government on any additional same amount of income, you may qualify to claim a foreign tax credit by filing a Form 1116 Foreign Tax Credit.
To enter and create a Form 1116, go to:
- After sign into your account, select the orange button Pick up where you left off
- At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in foreign tax credit and Enter
- Select the 1st choice on the search results - Jump to foreign tax credit
- Start with screen Foreign Taxes and select Continue to follow prompts.
