I'm a US citizen, and live in Canada. Can I download the TurboTax and e-file from Canada (US filing)? Does the software tracks my location and block me from e-filing

Yes, you can download TurboTax and e-file from Canada.

However, for fee payment, we can only accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards with a U.S. billing address.

You can now e-file with a foreign address.
