Personal autos (new or used) nor TVs qualify for a deduction.  You can deduct sales tax on your tax return, but only if you itemize deductions.  To get to this section, type ''sales tax'' in the search bar and use the Jump to link.

You do not need to include any receipts with your tax return.  However, in the unlikely event of an IRS inquiry, you must be able to justify your deductions with documentation.
