I can not find a place to enter the interest and real estate taxes

You can enter mortgage interest and property (real estate) taxes by following these steps:

  • In TurboTax, open your tax return
  • Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then on Deductions & Credits on top of the screen
  • Scroll down to All Tax breaks, locate the section Your Home and click on Show more
  • Click Start next to Mortgage Interest, Refinancing, and Insurance (Form 1098) to enter Mortgage interest
  • Click Start next to Property (real estate) Taxes to enter property taxes
