If you did not work in the U.S. and are not a citizen or resident alien, you do not have to file a U.S. tax return.

You can just ignore the 1099-NEC.  You don't need to file a US tax return and you don't need to notify the IRS.

Thanks,

No, I am not a U.S. citizen, and never been present in the U.S.. So I guess I can ignore the 1099-NEC form they sent me, right?

Would I need to inform IRS by any means? any form?
