How to input income from foreign employment whilst residing in the US

My employment is based in a foreign country, I'm on their payroll, I pay taxes in that foreign country, it goes into my foreign bank account, etc. I work remotely but reside here in the US, but as you can imagine when I report this to the US I'm going to end up being double taxed as I'm aware I can't claim this as foreign income (due to it technically being "U.S. sourced" due to my physical location) and can't get a tax credit.

My question is how do I report this on TurboTax? The closest thing I see is the foreign income option (which like I said, this is technically U.S. sourced), and I don't think it's right to claim this as self employment either. I also don't have a W2 as you can imagine.

You will report this as Other Income not already reported on a Form W-2 or 1099.

  1. Federal
  2. Income and Expenses
  3. Scroll down to Less Common Income and click Show More
  4. Start next to Miscellaneous Income
  5. Start next to Other Income not already reported on a Form W-2 or 1099
  6. Say Yes to did you receive any other Wages
  7. Continue through to Any Other Earned Income
  8. Enter Source of Other Earned income as Other
  9. Then enter the description of the income and amount
