If you paid or received child support it does not affect your taxes in any way.
If you asking about a child tax credit or other dependent credit, then if you entered your child on your return and they were a qualifying dependent for the credits, it would have been added to your return. If you not the custodial parent, then the other parent would have to agree to you claiming them. You cannot claim it simply because you pay child support.
If you are asking about the child and dependent care credit, if you are eligible and did not add qualifying expenses, then you can Amend Your Return to claim the credit. Once you enter the amended section, you will go to Federal>> Deductions and Credits>>child and Dependent Care Credit under You and Your Family. This is a non-refundable credit which means you must have a tax liability in order to get the credit. This is only available to the custodial parent.
